Bullying escolar: um estudo das práticas agressivas em alunos do 3º ciclo no distrito de Aveiro

No presente estudo, tornou-se premente aferir se o bullying é um problema presente nas escolas, junto dos alunos do 3º ciclo. Apurou-se, ainda, se o contexto social dos discentes poderá ser uma variável influente, uma vez que dos 294 alunos inquiridos, 163 residiam em meio urbano e 131 em meio rural. Na metodologia, o instrumento utilizado foi o inquérito. Constatou-se que o bullying se apresentou com valores elevados neste ciclo de ensino com 46,9% dos alunos inquiridos a assumirem já terem sido vítimas de agressão sendo possível salientar que existe uma diferença entre os meios, 60,3% no meio rural e 36,2% no meio urbano. Entre as diferentes formas de difusão de bullying destacou-se a agressão verbal pelo “insulto” e a “difamação”. Verificou-se que o momento em que ocorrem mais atos de bullying é nos intervalos, sendo o local mais frequente, o recreio. Este estudo será mais uma forte ferramenta e comprovativo para a averiguação e avaliação dos números de violência nas escolas em Portugal. A importância deste estudo acresce ainda mais uma vez que no distrito de Aveiro ainda não foi realizado nenhum estudo desta natureza. Os resultados do presente estudo poderão revelar-se fortes ajudas no “know-how” da prevenção e atuação em casos de bullying escolar, futuramente.
In this study, it became important to assess whether bullying is a problem present in schools, with students from the 3rd cycle. It was verified if the social context of the students can be an influential variable since 163 of the 294 surveyed students lived in urban areas and 131 in rural areas. In the methodology the survey was used as instrument. It was concluded that bullying is presented with high values in this grade with 46,9% of the students that assume being victims of aggression, it is possible to note a difference between the areas, 60,3% in rural area and 36,2% in urban area. Between different forms of bullying diffusion is highlighted by the verbal insult and defamation. It was found that when more acts of bullying occur is in break, being the most frequent place the playground. It is imperative proximity with various educational agents and this may be the key to minimizing this growing phenomenon. This study will be a strong tool for the investigation and evaluation for all the bullying cases in Portugal. This study adds further value in this subject because in Aveiro district this will be the first study about bullying. In the future, the results of present study could reveal strong helps on the prevention of bullying.
