Resumo
O presente relatório – elaborado no âmbito do estágio no Gabinete de Apoio à Divisão de Assuntos Culturais da Câmara Municipal de Mirandela, e parte integrante da conclusão do Mestrado em Línguas Estrangeiras Aplicadas, variante em Comércio e Relações Internacionais, na Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro – tem por objetivo delinear de que modo o desenvolvimento local pode ser incentivado se, num trabalho conjunto, houver interesse em investir em dois alicerces que aqui apresento: o património arquitetónico e o setor turístico.
A cidade de Mirandela, localizada no nordeste transmontano, prima pelas suas riquezas gastronómicas, aspeto este que tem vindo a ser explorado ao longo do tempo como forma de atrair turistas e visitantes e, consequentemente, tornar Mirandela um ponto de referência no turismo do norte de Portugal.
O trabalho que me proponho desenvolver pretende, portanto, explorar a capacidade que o Município possui no âmbito do turismo cultural, como forma de desenvolver e divulgar as potencialidades turísticas do concelho. Adquire, deste modo, o corpo de uma proposta, para que os turistas e excursionistas que visitam a “cidade jardim” a identifiquem também pelo seu valor patrimonial arquitetónico, aspeto este que deverá ser acrescentado às demais opções de visita divulgadas pela Câmara Municipal de Mirandela.
The present report – drafted in the context of the internship held in the Cultural Affairs’ Support Division of the municipality of Mirandela, and a part of the completion of the Master degree in Applied Foreign Languages, Trade and International Relations, in the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro – aims to delineate in which way can local development be encouraged if, in a joint work, there is interest in investing in two foundations that here I present: the architectural heritage and the tourism sector. The city of Mirandela, located in the Northeast of Trás-os-Montes is appreciated for its gastronomic riches, an aspect that has been explored over times as a way to attract tourists and visitors and thus to make Mirandela a tourism reference point in the north of Portugal. The paper work which I propose to develop, intends to, therefore, exploit the capabilities that the city holds in the context of cultural tourism as a way to develop and disseminate the tourist potential of the municipality. Thus, acquires the body of a proposal, so that tourists and day trippers who visit the “garden city” can also identify it by its architectural heritage value, an aspect that would be added to other visit options released by the City Hall of Mirandela.
