As TIC: violência, bullying e cyberbullying: estudo exploratório em alunos do 3º, 4º, 5º e 6º anos de escolaridade num agrupamento de escolas do interior norte de Portugal

Resumo
Esta investigação tem como principal objetivo, para além de avaliar a dimensão do cyberbullying num agrupamento de escolas no interior norte de Portugal, saber qual a relação que as crianças e jovens tem com as TIC no seio familiar.
Apesar de ser um fenómeno com pouca incidência em faixas etárias inferiores a 12 anos, diversas investigações indicam que o cyberbullying é uma das maiores preocupações na atualidade.
Foi aplicado um questionário (autopreenchimento) aos alunos do 3º, 4º, 5º e 6º anos de escolaridade para um melhor conhecimento dos hábitos relativos com os meios de comunicação (internet, telemóveis e televisão), bem como, a questão da supervisão parental. Por se tratarem de temas que ultimamente tem vindo a ser abordados pelos media, procurou-se também inquirir se têm, ou não, conhecimento sobre os conceitos de bullying e cyberbullying.
Os resultados revelam que esta temática ainda é pouco abordada, quer pelas famílias, quer pelas escolas. Comportamentos e hábitos diários perante as TIC revelam-se preocupantes, nomeadamente em questões de horários e falta de supervisão.
The leading aim if this investigation is to understand the relationship children and youngsters have with Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) within family environment, besides assessing the extent of Cyberbullying in a Group of Schools in inland Portugal. Although this phenomena has little incidence in ages under 12, several investigations indicate that Cyberbullying is one of the biggest concerns in our time. A questionnaire was applied (anonymous) to students of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades of schooling for a better knowledge of the habits relating with the media (Internet, mobile phones and television), as well as, the issue of parental supervision. Because these are topics that have recently been addressed by the media, were also sought to investigate, whether or not, have knowledge about the concepts of bullying and cyberbullying. Results show that this issue is still not addressed consistently neither by families nor schools. Behaviours and routines related to ICT reveal themselves worrying especially in a matter of schedules and parental supervision.
