Isolamento e caracterização de rizóbios associados às culturas de tremoceiro (Lupinus albus L.) e chícharo (Lathyrus sativus L.)

Resumo
As leguminosas têm um enorme valor agrícola devido ao processo de fixação biológica de azoto atmosférico, resultado de uma simbiose entre os rizóbios presentes no interior dos nódulos que se formam no sistema radicular. No presente estudo foram estudadas bactérias associadas às culturas do tremoceiro e do chícharo, tendo como objetivo, contribuir para o conhecimento da diversidade de rizóbios associada a estas culturas de leguminosas provenientes de diferentes regiões de Portugal. A finalidade deste estudo foi o isolamento e caracterização de estirpes de bactérias isoladas a partir de nódulos recolhidos das culturas referidas anteriormente recorrendo a técnicas moleculares para a sua identificação. Entre os resultados destaca-se a grande diversidade de bactérias benéficas para o crescimento das culturas de leguminosas em estudo, incluindo as espécies Rhizobium leguminosarum e Rhizobium lusitanum.
The legumes have an enormous agricultural value due to the biological fixation process of atmospheric nitrogen, resulting from a symbiosis between the rhizobia present inside the nodules that form in the root system. In the present study, bacteria associated to white lupin and grass pea cultivars were studied, aiming to contribute to the knowledge of the diversity of rhizobia associated with these legume crops from different locations in Portugal. The purpose of this study was to isolate and characterize strains of bacteria isolated from nodules collected from the above cultures using molecular techniques for their identification. With the results obtained a great diversity of bacteria beneficial for the growth of the leguminous crops under study was verified. Of the characterizations carried out, the clade of rhizobia in which the bacteria are inserted are Rhizobium leguminosarum and Rhizobium lusitanum.
