Kettlebell training is increasingly common in fitness centres, gyms and health clubs. Kettlebell Swing exercise involves the use of large muscle groups with simple and ballistic movements. The existence of little literature on the subject makes this study relevant to verify the Ground Reaction Forces (GRF) in the Kettlebell Swing exercise, which is one of the first movements to teach and practice in functional training. The current research was developed to study the biomechanical load in the Kettlebell Swing exercise, with the application of 16kg and 24kg external load on the force platform (Model 9281B, Kistler instrument AG), in order to understand the behaviour of Ground Reaction Forces. The aim is the description and comparison of the behaviour of the variables Swing Phase Posterior and Swing Phase Anterior, as well as their impulses in the following stages. The sample of the present study consisted of eighteen male participants with an average age of 27.67 ± 5.09 years, experienced. Two tasks were performed at random with 15 repetitions of KB Swing with 16kg and 15 repetitions of KB Swing with 24kg. Our results show significant differences between the two tasks, and in their Directions Fx and Fz. In the direction of Fx, it is in the Stage of Posterior Swing of Task 1 (165.33 ± 52.14) that we have obtained positive and higher values compared to the Anterior Swing Stage Task 1 (-84.18 ± 16,69). However, in the Vertical Direction, we found higher values in Task 1 Posterior Swing Phase (1538.42 ± 215.43) than in Task 1 Anterior Swing Phase (1410.12 ± 281.26), although the previous Swing Phase thrust is higher than the Stage of Posterior Swing. These results show that, in relation to the Anterior Swing phase, it is in the Posterior Swing phase that we handle more load. We have also understood that the load handled during the swing exercise points to an overload of the individual.
