dc.description.abstractO presente estudo foi feito no âmbito da dissertação de 2.º Ciclo em Línguas Estrangeiras Aplicadas, variante Comércio e Relações Internacionais e aborda o Património Cultural Imaterial (PCI) de Macedo de Cavaleiros e de algumas freguesias do concelho, nomeadamente: Chacim, Cortiços e Podence. Fez-se também recolha do património religioso do Santuário de Balsamão. Esta investigação tem o objetivo principal de analisar o PCI da referida área, mais concretamente, verificar que tradições, costumes e festas são marca distintiva daquela cidade e do concelho. Pretende-se, igualmente, sensibilizar as entidades e cidadãos para a necessária preservação do PCI e para a possibilidade do seu aproveitamento para dinamizar e projetar o território, em termos turísticos. A dissertação está estruturada num enquadramento teórico e numa componente prática desenvolvida através da aplicação de sete entrevistas individuais, orais e escritas. O resultado da pesquisa foi organizado em quatro capítulos, sendo o primeiro relativo à metodologia utilizada e esclarecendo os motivos da seleção dos entrevistados e do objeto de estudo; o segundo capítulo faz o enquadramento teórico do tema geral do estudo e explora a importância do PCI para as noções de memória coletiva, identidade e sentimento de pertença. O terceiro capítulo apresenta o perfil do Nordeste Transmontano e do concelho de Macedo de Cavaleiros. É também neste capítulo que se expõe a informação recolhida através das entrevistas pessoais, as quais foram transcritas como documentos individualizados. Por fim, o último capítulo esclarece se o PCI da cidade e concelho está a ser alvo de preservação e dinamização, e ainda de que forma está a ser usado para a projeção turística da cidade. Pretende-se que o registo destas manifestações de património imaterial, de alguma forma, concorra para a preservação e difusão do mesmo, bem como para o desenvolvimento de um sentido de identidade nas gentes de Macedo de Cavaleiros.pt
dc.description.abstractThe present study was developed in the context of the Master degree in Applied Foreign Languages, in the variant of Trade and International Relations, and addresses the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of the city of Macedo de Cavaleiros and of some parishes of the county under the same name: Chacim, Cortiços and Podence. A collection of the religious heritage of the Sanctuary of Balsamão was also done. This research aims at analysing the ICH of the above mentioned area, in particular, at verifying which traditions, customs and festivities are a distinctive feature of the city and of the county. It is also intended to raise awareness among the authorities and bearers to the necessary preservation of the ICH and the possibility of its use to enhance and display the territory, in what regards tourism. The investigation is structured as follows: a theoretical framework and a practical part, which developed through conducting seven oral and written individual interviews. The results of the research were arranged in four chapters. The first regards the methodology used, it explains the reasons for selecting these specific interviewees and clarifies the object of the study; the second chapter gives the theoretical framework of the main topic of this study and analyses the significance of the ICH to the concepts of collective memory, identity and sense of belonging. Chapter III presents the profiles of the northeast part of Trás-os-Montes and of the county of Macedo de Cavaleiros. This chapter also displays the information gathered through the personal interviews, transcribed as individual documents. Finally, the last chapter accounts for the preservation and enhancement of the ICH of the city and the county, as well as if it is being applied as a tourist attraction. It is intended that the record of these forms of intangible heritage, in some way contributes to the preservation and dissemination of that legacy, as well as to the development of a sense of identity among the population from Macedo de Cavaleiros.pt
