| dc.description.abstract | Um dos indicadores de desenvolvimento das sociedades é, sem dúvida, o uso que essas mesmas sociedades dão às tecnologias. O crescente (e sempre em evolução), mercado das tecnologias, faz com que nas sociedades ditas ‘modernas’, proliferem as novas tecnologias e seja standardizado o seu acesso e uso no dia-a-dia. A World Wide Web (WWW) é uma das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação mais utilizadas no quotidiano da população das sociedades modernas. Seja por lazer, informação, negócios, necessidades pessoais ou trabalho, o acesso à internet generalizou-se de tal forma, que é natural o seu uso nos mais diferentes meios. Face a esta realidade, também o setor da saúde tem vindo a investir no desenvolvimento de plataformas web e aplicações móveis, para criar uma maior proximidade junto do seu público-alvo. Desde consulta de informação, marcação de atos médicos, troca de informações com profissionais de saúde, entre outros, é evidente a mais valia destas plataformas no setor da saúde. Importa por isso, garantir que os sítios web estão acessíveis a toda a população. Daí que o objetivo deste trabalho tenha sido a avaliação dos níveis de acessibilidade dos sítios web do setor da saúde. Esta avaliação foi padronizada pela regulamentação apresentada pelo World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), uma referência nesta área a nível mundial. | dc.description.abstract | One of the indicators of the development of societies is, undoubtedly, the use that these societies give to technologies. The growing (and ever in evolution) market of technologies, means that in so-called 'modern' societies, new technologies proliferate and their access and use are standardized on a day by day. The World Wide Web (WWW) is one of the most commonly used Information and Communication Technologies in the everyday population of modern societies. Whether for leisure, information, business, personal needs or work, internet access has been generalized in such a way that it is natural to use it in the most different ways. Faced with this reality, the health sector has also invested in the development of web platforms and mobile applications, to create a closer proximity to its target audience. Since information consultation, marking of medical acts, exchange of information with health professionals, among others, it is evident the added value of these platforms in the health sector. It matters therefore, ensure that websites are accessible to the entire population. Hence the objective of this work was the accessibility levels of the health sector websites evaluation. This evaluation was standardized by the regulations presented by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), a reference in this area worldwide. Keywords: accessibility, health, WCAG, inability | pt_PT |
