| dc.description.abstract | Esta dissertação abordou o estudo da representação da Mão na Arte Rupestre, analisando a sua origem, distribuição e evolução como símbolo. Nela houve a preocupação de compreender a Mão nas suas capacidades depreensão e compreensão, que ajudaram o homem a entender o mundo e uma parte da própria essência de ser Humano. Analisar as duas grandes técnicas de execução que são a Pintura e a Escultura e sistematizar a tipologia das figuras foi um importante contributo para a tentativa de compreensão do símbolo da Mão. Para enquadrar este estudo foram analisadas três estações com expressivas representações de Mãos a saber, Gargas, Maltravieso e Pego da Rainha. Significativo foi descortinar a sua autoria da qual já se consegue vislumbrar algo sobre o género e se os seus autores foram crianças ou adultos. Ao enunciar teorias que apoiam a interpretação foi possível detectar imagens relacionadas com o profano e com o sagrado, com necessidades de identificação, de comunicação, de poder, enfim todo um universo muito semelhante ao actual. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation deals with the study of the representation of the Hand in rockart, analyzing its origin, distribution and evolution as a symbol. In it was the concern of understanding the Hand in its capacity of grasping and comprehending what helped Man understand the world and a part of the essence of being Human. Analyzing the two major techniques of execution that are Painting and Engraving and synthesizing the typology of the figures was an important contribution to the attempt at the understanding of the symbol of the Hand. To demarcate this study, three sites with salient representations of Hands were analyzed, namely Gargas, Maltravieso and Pego da Rainha. It was of significance to disclose authorship from which one can now visualize something about gender and whether the authors were children or adults. In enunciating different theories it was possible to detect imagery related with the profane and with the sacred, as necessity of identification, of communication and of power, in the end a universe very similar to ours today. | eng |
