A Literatura para a Infância em Portugal nos séculos XIX e XX: Contextos Socioculturais e Contributos Pedagógicos

| dc.description.abstract | Com este trabalho de investigação, procurámos cumprir duas ordens de objectivos: 1.º- Reflectir sobre os contextos socioculturais e os contributos pedagógicos, que considerámos mais marcantes, nos séculos XIX e XX, em Portugal; 2.º- Reflectir sobre a Literatura para a Infância, no nosso país, nestes mesmos séculos, constatando que ela é sempre o reflexo de uma certa conjuntura sociocultural, responsável por que a escrita para a Infância assuma determinadas características temáticas e formais, específicas e singulares em cada época histórica. Escolhemos um corpus de autores do séc. XIX e outro do séc. XX e ao analisar as suas produções literárias para as crianças, tivemos a preocupação de verificar que elas iam reflectindo o conceito de Infância vigente em cada século; manifestando as tendências epocais da literatura a ela destinada e perspectivando a Criança leitora, de forma diversificada. As nossas preocupações primordiais foram as seguintes: 1.ª - Identificar de que forma neste continuum temporal, balizado entre inícios do século XIX e finais do séc. XX, as perspectivas pedagógicas relacionadas com o ensino da 1.ª e 2.ª infâncias se foram alterando (evidenciando alguns pedagogos que tiveram um papel fulcral na mudança do panorama educativo português) 2.ª - Correlacionada com a anterior, pretendemos identificar em que medida houve continuidade e/ou ruptura na literatura de potencial recepção infantil no nosso país. Visamos, com o nosso trabalho, contribuir para a investigação sobre a evolução da obra literária para a Infância em Portugal, do séc. XIX até ao final do séc. XX, identificar as potencialidades dos textos da Literatura direccionada aos mais novos, na formação do indivíduo e na sua integração sociocultural, e permitir uma tomada de consciência sobre a importância da Literatura para crianças dos pontos de vista diacrónico e sincrónico. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | With this research work we intended to achieve two objectives: 1st - To reflect upon the socio-cultural contexts and the pedagogical contributions we considered the most outstanding in the 19th and 20th centuries in Portugal; 2 st - To reflect upon the literature for childhood, in our country in these same centuries, considering it a reflection of a certain socio-cultural conjunction, responsible for certain thematic and formal as well as specific and singular characteristics, present in the Literature for children in each historic epoch. We have chosen a 19th century corpus of writers and another one from the 20th century. When analyzing their literary productions for children, we became aware that they reflected the current concept of childhood in each century, thus showing the epochal trends of literature for childhood and beholding the child reader in a diversified way. Our major concerns were the following: 1 st – To identify in which way this time continuum, beaconed between the early 19th century and late 20th century, changed the pedagogical perspectives related to the teaching of the first and second childhood (bespeaking some of the pedagogues which had an important role in the shifting of the Portuguese educational ―ambience‖ ). 2 nd – Correlated to the previous one, we intended to identify to which extent was there continuity and/or rupture in the Literature of the potential child readers in our country. With our research work, we aim to contribute to the investigation on the evolution of the literary work for childhood in Portugal from the 19th century up to the late 20th century. We also intend to identify the potentialities of literary texts for childhood in the bringing up of the individual and on its socio-cultural integration, as well as to allow awareness on the importance of literature for children according to the diachronic and synchronic points of view. | por |
