Resumo
A necessidade de ler ou ouvir contos acompanhou desde sempre o ser humano em
desenvolvimento. Há centenas de anos, esta era a única forma que grande parte da população tinha para ensinar os valores e as regras sociais aos mais pequenos. É por isso que as histórias tradicionais mantêm, até hoje, uma missão educativa, aproximando-se das necessidades interiores de cada criança em crescimento.
Essa identificação do leitor ou ouvinte vem da linguagem mágica e simbólica do conto
que foca exactamente os problemas que um jovem está a sentir, num determinado momento e, pela acção das personagens, este indivíduo vai compreender formas de actuação para ultrapassar os seus medos e dúvidas. Deste modo, os actantes assumem lugar de destaque, pois é através da empatia ou repulsa para com uma personagem que a criança vai compreender os seus dilemas. Vivendo as aventuras do herói ou simplesmente agindo ao contrário do que faz o antagonista, consegue criar a sua própria visão do mundo.
Mas não podemos esquecer que a sociedade evolui desde os tempos dos contos de
fadas, daí que seja natural que tenham surgido novos heróis, mais adequados (ou não) às novas vivências infantis. Contudo, ao mesmo tempo, assistimos ao renascimento de muitas personagens ancestrais, que apenas mudam de forma ou de características para melhor se adaptarem à realidade actual e continuarem a fazer sonhar os mais pequenos.
The need of reading or listening to tales walks with men since the beginning of times. In the past, there was the only one way to the community teaches the rules and values to the little ones. And, because of that, traditional stories keep, until our days, an educative mission, which is close to the needs of any child who is growing up. The reader’s or listener’s identification comes from the magical and symbolic language of tales. It shows exactly the problems that the young is feeling in the moment and, with the characters, any one will learn ways to go thru the fears and doubts. In consequence, tales characters deserve a special place, because it is acting like his hero or hating a villain that the child will understand his problems, creating his own vision of world and life. But we cannot forget that society has changed since the time of fairy tales. It is natural that we see new characters, new heroes and new villains, which are (or not) more close to the children’s reality and their actual needs. However, at the same time, we see that many creatures of the old tales are regaining life. They change their personality or their characteristics to adapt themselves to the reality of our days and, with that, be more close to the real children’s needs, making them dreaming again.
