As simbologias religiosas dos Santuários do Bom Jesus do Monte de Braga e do Bom Jesus de Matosinhos em Congonhas

Resumo
A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo o estudo das simbologias religiosas em dois
santuários localizados em Portugal (Braga) e Brasil (Congonhas) os quais possuem
como ponto de igualdade a devoção ao Bom Jesus. Existem referências sobre o
santuário de Braga ter sido inspiração para Congonhas, pois ambos, em sua
constituição, são construídos nos moldes do Sacro-Monte, com capelas da Paixão de
Cristo, sendo o estilo Barroco a escolha feita pelos encomendadores. O trabalho foi
desenvolvido em quatro capítulos, os quais trazem informações relevantes desde a
devoção ao Bom Jesus, às análises de imagens. Foram escolhidos para as análises os
conjuntos escultóricos dos sete Passos da Paixão de Cristo (Braga/Congonhas), o
Escadório dos Cinco Sentidos (Braga) e os Doze Profetas (Congonhas). A metodologia
empregada foi a descritiva. Como resultado concluiu-se que a relação cultural entre
Brasil e Portugal continua fortalecida e tem, na devoção do Bom Jesus, um dos alicerces
que uniram culturalmente esses dois povos.
The present research has the objective of study of religious symbols at two locations in Portugal (Braga) and Brazil (Congonhas) which possess the same devotion to Bom Jesus. Exist references about the sanctuary in Braga was the inspiration to Congonhas, therefore, were constructed based on Sacro-Monte, the choice made by the commissioners were Baroque (style) as chapels of Passion of Christ. The study was conducted in four chapters, which brings relevant information since devotion to Bom Jesus to image analysis. Were chosen for analysis the sculptural groups of the seven Steps of the Passion of Christ (Braga/Congonhas), the Stairway of the Five Senses (Braga) and the Twelve Prophets (Congonhas). The methodology used was descriptive. As result concluded that the relationship cultural between Brazil and Portugal continue strengthened one of the reasons that united the two civilizations culturally was the devotion to Bom Jesus.
