Coleção geológica no campus da UTAD: projeto de arquitetura paisagista

Resumo
A Comunidade Científica e a Sociedade têm assistido a um despertar de consciência, no que refere à Conservação Geológica da Natureza e intervenção do homem no meio natural. As preocupações foram dando lugar à proteção e preservação destes mesmos espaços com cariz geológico, através da criação de medidas para tais efeitos como é o exemplo, a criação de Geossítios (inventariados e mapeados). No seguimento deste pensamento (proteção e preservação do meio ambiente), surgiu a ideia de elaborar um trabalho no campus da UTAD, que passa pela realização de um projeto de Arquitetura Paisagista com o nome “Coleção/Jardim Geológico no Campus da UTAD”. O projeto prevê a criação de três percursos alternativos, que têm como cenário o Jardim Botânico da UTAD, com vários pontos de paragem para observação de elementos geológicos, característicos da Região de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. No final deste trabalho conclui-se que este é um projeto com capacidade de aproximar e sensibilizar os visitantes para o paradigma de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro e que, por mais simplista que possa parecer um projeto desta dimensão, tem inúmeras potencialidades, retratadas no Ensino e no Turismo acessível a todos.
The Scientific community and the Society, have witnessed an awakening conscience, regarding the Geologic conservation of the Nature and the Intervention of Human Kind in the natural environment. The concerns had been given place to the protection and preservation of these same spaces with Geologic nature, through the creation of measures for such effect as it is the example, the creation of Geossítios (inventoried and mapped). In the pursuing of this thought (protection and preservation of the environment), the idea arose of elaborating a work in the campus of the UTAD, involving the accomplishment of a project of landscape Architecture named “Collection/Geologic Garden in the Campus of the UTAD”. The project consists in the creation of three alternative routes, that have the Botanical Garden of the UTAD as background, with some points of stopping for comment of Geologic, characteristic elements of the Region of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. At the end of this work it is concluded that this is a project with capacity to approach and to sensitize the visitors to the paradigm of the conservation of the Geology of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro and that, as simplistic it may seem a project with this dimension, have countless potentialities, portrayed in Teaching and the Regional Tourism.
